On April 14, 2026, Yoha Solar successfully completed the inspection, commissioning and packaging of a perovskite solar cell EL+PL tester. The equipment will be officially delivered to a professional perovskite laboratory, supporting researchers in cutting-edge R&D of perovskite solar cell materials and devices, and providing precise testing capabilities for the industrialization of perovskite technology.
The shipped equipment is the self-developed YHG-ELPL perovskite solar cell EL+PL tester by Yoha Solar. As a high-precision, multi-modal non-destructive testing tool tailored for perovskite solar cell R&D, it integrates two core testing technologies—Electroluminescence (EL) and Photoluminescence (PL). It enables full-dimensional testing from electrical defects of devices to intrinsic material quality, making it an indispensable quality control instrument for perovskite solar cell R&D and pilot-scale production.
Built to meet the precise testing demands of scientific laboratories, the tester features an effective testing area of 300×300mm and supports customized upgrades to accommodate perovskite cells and modules of various specifications. With a test cycle ≤10 seconds, it efficiently handles batch sample testing, balancing scientific accuracy and testing efficiency. Equipped with a dual-camera system, the 12-megapixel telephoto camera precisely tests micro samples with a field of view ranging from 25×30mm to 30×40mm; the 20-megapixel short-focus industrial camera achieves full-field coverage for large samples, with a resolution of 50–100μm to accurately capture micro-defects such as black spots, uneven coating and local low-efficiency regions.
For core module configurations:
  1. The EL module adopts a 0–120V wide voltage and 0–2A wide current power supply, with comprehensive protection against overvoltage, overcurrent, short circuit and leakage. The exposure time is adjustable from 0.1–30s, covering the full cell thickness and PN junction for in-depth detection.
  2. The PL module uses 450–460nm laser excitation with adjustable 25W laser power, and spot uniformity ≥95% (effective area). The excitation time is adjustable from 100ms–10s. It is also equipped with Time-Resolved Photoluminescence (TRPL) capability, which quantitatively analyzes carrier lifetime through pulsed laser (100fs–10ns) and a Time-Correlated Single Photon Counting (TCSPC) system, providing accurate data for material formula optimization and process improvement.
In addition, the tester is paired with dedicated measurement software that supports free switching among EL single mode, PL single mode and EL/PL simultaneous imaging. It realizes functions including defect identification, intensity quantification, lifetime fitting, uniformity statistics and report generation. It also supports manual/automatic barcode input to standardize and intelligentize the testing process. Weighing 120KG overall, the equipment adapts to laboratory environments with a temperature of 20–25℃ and humidity of 30%–60%. A complete maintenance system and safety specifications ensure long-term stable operation.
This delivery not only demonstrates Yoha Solar’s technological accumulation and manufacturing strength in perovskite testing equipment, but also reflects the company’s commitment to supporting photovoltaic scientific research and innovation. Going forward, Yoha Solar will continue to focus on R&D in perovskite testing technology, providing more precise and efficient equipment and services to empower technological breakthroughs for research institutions and enterprises. We will promote the transition of perovskite solar cell technology from the lab to industrialization, and contribute to the high-quality development of the photovoltaic industry.
